The Blazer Boosters Board of Advisors is an appointed group of passionate Blazer supporters who assist to create policies and procedures, cultivate and recruit prospects and lead the Blazer Boosters to new levels of success.

Mission Statement
The Blazer Boosters Office is charged to raise money and secure resources for scholarships, athletic facilities, enhance sports programs and general support for the UAB athletic program. This will be accomplished in a professional and ethical environment with the hallmark of passion for UAB Athletics at its core. Emphasis will be placed on cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with critical stakeholders who support and believe in the vision of UAB Athletics and adhering to the guiding principles of UAB Athletics.
Methods of Giving:
Cash, Check & Credit Card Donations
Blazer Boosters gladly accepts cash, check and credit card contributions. Individuals may make a one-time gift or choose to divide contributions into scheduled payments.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Many companies have programs to match contributions by employees to scholarship funds. Please indicate the applicable information on the pledge card, complete and include the company’s matching gift form along with the contribution.
Endowments
An endowment is a permanent, named fund at the University in which the principal is invested and only a percentage of the earned income is distributed each year. Funds distributed from endowed scholarships are awarded to deserving student-athletes to assist with tuition, fees and other costs related to their academic studies. A minimum gift of $25,000 is required to secure an endowed and named scholarship.

Gifts of Stock & Securities
Stocks, bonds, CD’s and other securities may be donated to take advantage of tax laws and provide a convenient way to make a substantial gift.
Bequest/Life Insurance/Trusts
UAB Athletics can be a beneficiary in a will or through a life-income trust. There are several different options for deferred or planned giving. Please call the Blazer Boosters Office for more information.
Gifts-In-Kind
UAB Athletics can accept gifts in the form of product or services that the department can use to reduce expenses. To make an in-kind donation, please contact the Blazer Boosters Office.
