Blazer Women’s Athletic Society

The Blazer Women's Athletic Society is an organization formed in 2008 to provide UAB's female student-athletes with the greatest opportunity for success in academics and athletics by forming a network of women who raise funds for scholarships and facilities and additionally serve as positive examples of sharing, leadership, and character.

Annual memberships to the Blazer Women's Athletic Society (BWAS) run from August through July and are just $100 per year.  Benefits of membership include supporting Blazer female student-athletes, invitations to events, lapel pin, discounted tickets, etc.  BWAS Plus is an opportunity for individuals to gain membership and make a scholarship donation above and beyond the $100 to support female athletes.  For more information, click here to download a Blazer Women's Athletic Society brochure, or contact Carlin Foster Everts.  BWAS Sustainer Level is individuals who pledge $50,000 to be paid $10,000 a year over five years.  For more information, please contact Leon Ryan, Associate Athletic Director, (205) 975-0890.
